There are more than 17,000 4-H members in community clubs across Kansas, and we’re glad to welcome you and your family as our newest members. 4-H is focused on youth having fun and learning with their friends. We understand that you may have many questions in your first few years in the program, so we developed these guides to help you. You can always reach out to our 4-H Agent or your local clubs' Community Leaders for questions, too!

Butler County 4-H New Family Guide

Enrolling in 4-H is as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Find a Club: Contact the Butler County Extension Office or find a club near you! We have nine community clubs and one shooting sports project club located across the county.
  2. Visit a Club: Visit 2-3 clubs to see which one is the best fit for your family based on schedule, location, and project focus.
  3. Enroll Online: Ready to join? Enroll at v2.4honline.com

Kansas State 4-H Project List

We are working to align with the State Project list, so there are a few changes:

  • Visual Arts: General Arts & Crafts and Leather & Jewelry will enroll under the common name Visual Arts.
  • Pigeons will enroll in Poultry.
  • Public Speaking will enroll in Communications.

Clubs and Projects will not automatically populate upon re-enrollment. You will have to select your club and all projects you want to enroll in. Years in the project are supposed to automatically populate when you re-enroll in a project you were enrolled in the previous year.

If you have projects you previously enrolled in but did not enroll in last year and are re-enrolling for the new year, and you need to know your 4-H members' years in the project, please give us a call, and we can look up the years for you.
